Our Programs

Build My Future Tulsa is an HBA Charitable Foundation workforce development initiative.
The foundation also sponsors SkillsUSA Oklahoma, a competition that prepares students for leadership in the world of work.
The Career Tech Instructor Internship program was established to take instructors out of the classroom and to the job site where they can experience the reality of today’s construction environment.

The HBA Charitable Foundation proudly sponsors SkillsUSA Oklahoma where students from across the state compete against each other while refining their skills. Winners receive scholarships and advance to the national competition.

career tech instructor internship

Construction faculty members job shadow at industry companies to learn the skills that employers require. This 3-week summer program provides a stipend to instructors, and connects industry education with business expectations.

Get Involved

Students and parents, as well as school administrators, counselors, and teachers interested in attending Build My Future should contact Tulsa Technology Center.
Tulsa Tech coordinates student allocations and bus transportation to and from Build My Future. Lunch is provided to all Build My Future attendees.

Sponsors are the backbone of Build My Future. Without the financial support of Build My Future sponsors, this event would not be possible. We sincerely appreciate our partner, Tulsa Technology Center, and each and every sponsor. An increase in the student enrollment in TTC’s construction courses is evidence that your support impacts lives.

Exhibitors are the industry professionals who forfeit time away from their offices and off job sites to share their knowledge with the next generation of construction workers. The skilled labor shortage is a critical factor in the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Volunteers are necessary for any event to operate successfully and Build My Future is no exception. From greeting students at arrival to ushering them in and out of orientation sessions, to distributing sway bags and serving lunch, HBA member volunteers will also be mentoring students in the hanger and on the tarmac.

Students and teachers

Public, private, parochial, charter, and home-school students are invited to attend. Administrators, counselors, and teachers may apply through Tulsa Tech.
